I decided to celebrate my birthday today by taking the day off work and having a variety of geocaching experiences. I started with urban hides and ended with some hiking in the Dinosaur Ridge area. Some solo caching and some with my family. All in all it was a great day and was filled with wonderful memories.

This was one of the caches on my absolute to do list. I had solved the puzzle YEARS ago. As I recall, I was a relatively new cacher and I was hanging out with my family at my parents house. They had recently moved into the new development just East of here. I was looking at caches in the area and saw this puzzle. Couldn't make heads or tails of it. I reached out to the CO who gave me a hint about the title and what to do with it. It took a little bit but I finally made sense of it all. After that, it was a relatively quick solve. And then nothing happened.

I have often looked at this hide and wondered when I was going to do the hike. Finally an opportunity presented itself. I've been surprised that it hasn't been found in over a year. Certainly other cachers have been within 30 feet of it as they've found others along this trail. But with so many places to hide a cache, there's no way you could just stumble across it.

Once we finally got to GZ, I thankfully had read previous logs and tried to put myself in the right position. I started a bit too far off but as I kept exploring and searching potential spots I found it! This was such a great experience and a relief to have found!

Definitely gets a favorite for taking me along an incredible trail with awesome views and a great reward for our efforts. I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks for the hide Greasepot. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

With a big nudge from the CO (I was going a completely different direction) I solved the puzzle but had to wait several months before I was in the area to make the find. Tough hot hike today.

Doing some early spring caches with Robespierre50. No rain but brutal wind on top of hogback. This puzzle cache was the goal for this climb. About 20 feet west of GZ but found after some diligent looking by Robespierre. SL

Out for a few caches with Leenmarcia this afternoon, expected to dodge raindrops but just had to dodge chilly wind. Wandered around awhile for this find, finally spotted it about 20 ft west of GZ in good shape and consistent with description. Solved puzzle a while back and today was the right day to go for it. I had this mystery solved two years ago when I lived here. But somehow I did not find time to get there and log it. Today, together with nephrite and Bo.T.L, we found it. Thanks for this cache on nice place.
