There is a common misconception that the point you are standing on now is Mount Zion, however the true summit is further up the trail. Even though this isn't technically the final destination for people looking to summit Zion, "West Zion" serves as a great place to get views of Golden and Windy Saddle Park, as it's actually 121 feet taller than the official peak. To summit Zion, continue on the trail for another 1/4 mile, and you may think that the views are even more impressive from further down.

You are looking for a black metal canister hidden in the rocks near the summit. No need to BYOP. There may be muggles around so be careful! Have fun!

Headed out and about today, to see if I could get some "science of discovery" points - yup, earned enough to claim the first souvenir - this was the seventh of ten geocaches that I found during my travels. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Out on a road trip with Badmash and EMONEY318 spanning MN, IA, KS, UT, CO, WY, NE, and SD. In total, I found 311 caches including a plethora of gadget caches in Colby, KS, the oldest caches in Kansas and Colorado, Arikaree (the 7th oldest caches), and many others. I also added a lot of new counties! One of the non-geocaching highlights of the trip was skiing in the rockies! I had a few more finds than Badmash and EMONEY318 as I woke up earlier and cached a bit. Overall we had a great time. Many thanks for all the owners for creating the caches. We signed as BEE for caches.

Starting Point: Lakewood, CO
End Point: Georgetown, CO
Adventure Lab Find(s): Fields of Valor - Fort Logan Cemetery, On the Lookout, Sculptures of Breckenridge
Group find?: Yes
Description: Explored Denver a bit more caching along the way. We also went bowling and mini golfing. After, we left Denver for the oldest cache in CO. From there we went to Breckenridge and continued on to Georgetown. Thanks to all the owners for the excellent caches.

EMONEY318 was antsy and wanted to hike around the mountainous area. I knew he was underestimating the elevation change but I figured I'd let him learn the lesson on the way to this cache. Sure enough he did and did not want to continue to the next cache on Mount Zion. The view from up here can't be beat. Thanks for the cache.
