The road up to the trail was in good shape today. Climbing the hill wasn't to bad except for all the cactusEvil !! Easy find because I found it just laying on the ground. I read a few logs and figured out where to rehide it. I placed a pretty big rock on it so the wind or a critter couldn't move it. I think the hardest part was coming back down!! Stamped the log and I'm off to the next one. [8d][8d] SL TFTC

Way cool, but a lot more difficult than I imagined. When this was created, there was no Pronghorn trail. Now, the Pronghorn trail, which was cut in summer 2015, takes you right underneath it from the north-ish side of it. You have to go off the trail to get to the top where you'll see the paint marks and the cool "lime green" stash. It took us two tries to find it. Be VERY careful on the rocks--it really is right on the edge and I'm sure in the hot summer you'll find lots of snakes a long with it.

Found it - finally! This was exceedingly difficult to find as it was 30' or so away from the cords and the cords kept jumping around wildly (and it was so windy it was scary at times). Be careful when you go up there as rattlesnakes are hiding here and there (we kept stirring them up - scared the heck out of us). Cache was dry and we were able to sign the log. Seems like the GZ may have changed over time. Tough climb through the rocks and cactus, especially since we climbed the first hill initially, not knowing it was on the second as the cords were not reliable and we didn't know of the easier slope we found going back down. Took us about two hours - we almost quit twice - and one of us fell on the first hill but luckily just got scratches and scrapes - no breaks. TFTC.

Looks like this one hasn't been found in a couple of years, guess it was time! Nice view of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Neat spot, thanks for the cache.

Way cool container. Log is wet surprise surprise, and the pen has leaked and cemented itself inside SO BYOP. Since it hadn't been found in so many years it might have moved from it's original spot from snow and rain...but maybe not...
I agree with previous logs that the way point (maybe there is another posted one somewhere else for the parking?) is GZ, not for parking, unless you had a 4x4 hovercraft?
I am giving this cache a favorite point for the area AND for the container. This is a rockhound spot to spend time.
