Evolution perfects survival skills
so stealthy hunters can make their kills.

And perfect defense, well, some are close,
with poisoned glands and spiky pokes.

But is there a truly perfect hide?
Couldn't you find it with your eyes?

Could you touch it? Could you sense it?
How would you know if you found it?

Let's search for clues (with help from rhyming)
to find a cache with perfect hiding!

You'll need some tools before you come.
A UV Light is number one!

For number two, you'll need your wits,
without them, you might have some cursing fits!

Just read the clues as best as you can.
The words will keep you on the plan!

Now, on your marks, get set, and GO!
To find your start, just search below.

Ninety-five feet at three-o-six,
will bring you to some glass and bricks.

Go through east doors, then hang a left...
straight past the muffins, I suggest!

Find the quotes along the hall.
They're all around you on the walls.

The quote by "Alexie" is what you need.
Find two large "upper-words" with speed.

Count the letters in the S__ word.
Subtract the count in the B__ word.

Subtract two more from that total,
assign to "E", you math mogul!

---

Now head back north and find the stairs.
Go up one floor. You're almost there!

At the top, turn to the right;
Go in the hall and grab your light.

Move along the westmost wall
and you'll find beams both big and small.

The first I-Beam from the south
Holds box eight-three-one in its mouth.

Open gently; Shine your light!
Tap your endless mental might!

Search the paths to find a wonder
Eight small digits; Hey! It's a number!

Write it down and mark it "A".
Close the lid and walk away.

---

Now, head to the "info desk" nearby.
Look and see what you can spy!

Find the girder marked with "Fiction"
Don't get yourself in a stiction!

On the back side, there's a tube!
It's waiting there, but don't remove!

Use your light! Six-two-three!
Lift the "knob" to set clues free!

Count the blue bands. (B) Count the red. (C)
Can you add them in your head? (D)

---

You've found the clues! Now, guess what's next?
It's the final part we all like best!

Are you ready for the perfect hide?
It's over on the eastern side!

Don't worry now. It's not near Zaria…
It's just in the "Collaborative Area"

On an I-beam (I know, you're shocked)
hangs a metal box and lock.

And no, that's not the perfect hide!
This box just hides the hide inside!

To get in, of course, we need a code;
(It's a good time, now, to pull your notes.)

The combination is:

Divide A by 492782
Then subtract (B+C+D+E)    <—— Oh *Phew!*

Multiply the answer by thirty-nine
and there's your code!
That took no time!

Pull the lock and lift the lid!
and marvel in that hide we hid!

---

And there it is! Oh my! How Stealthy!
I told you so! Quick! Grab a selfie!

The special code is on the rear.
Try not to roll your eyes and sneer.

Beneath the "skirt" you'll find the log.
Just sign it now and you're top dog!

---

Trade some items if you'd like,
but please, the "hide", must stay behind.

When you're done
put all away
Lock it up and say "HOORAY!"

We hope that you've enjoyed this hide
Even though it was inside.
Perhaps the writing made you smile?
That was the goal with this style!

And now, if you'll excuse me please,
I need to go pay some doctor fees.

Writing this way for far too long
has made this alien's brain all wrong.

(Heeeeeeeelllllllllllllp!)

Since I forgot to write down the code, I returned today to get it. Of course, I forgot my notes too so I had to solve all the stages again to get to the final. No changes or finders since my visit last week. tft

We got six in this series today, but that's a great start! Oh, my gosh, we had such a good time finding these caches on this really chilly day. They are all fun, and very well done. Thank you to all the cache owners who put their energy and time into creating these and maintaining them for us!

Excellent job on the writing, and then placing the stages throughout the site. I shouldn't even be admitting this, but I messed up on stage one While I was revisiting all the stages, mugg-L just waited by the final until I could make the necessary corrections. And... I also forgot to write down the code so I'll be back. tft and most unique LPC, D: 3x TBs, L: Army man (Hooah!)

We stopped here even though peace love pi found it a few weeks ago. She didn't write down the code, so we walked through each step to solve the puzzle. I was excited to use my favorite TOTT! There was a meeting going on near the final, but we were super quiet and snuck in and out without anyone being the wiser. LOL loved the container at the final, we both got a giggle. Thanks for the smiley! Find #2849.

Tackled a bunch of the DPL caches with peace love pi today. We made a great team, she saw what I didn't and I saw what she didn't. We set out thinking we'd find about 8 and instead found 14. I got to see a lot of Denver I hadn't explored before and remembered why I like libraries so much. The staff at most of the branches realized what we were up to with a knowing smile, and were very helpful when we got stuck in a couple places. A great series with well thought out puzzles, well deserving of favorite points! Can't wait to tackle the rest of the series. I started out the day with 17 TBs or so, managed to leave all but 2 of them along our way. Whoo hoo!

Yea, this is my final stop in the DPL series! This one in particular was very rewarding, as it was my hardest to complete. It was at times frustrating too, because there were no less than three muggles who were directly in my path of completing this. It took me three visits to the library, an eBay shopping trip for a UV light, and a big dose of patience to complete! But yea, I finally did it!!
Thanks for creating this unique, thematic cache! A+

Good adventure find, on these cold January days of 2017, a little "heated" geocaching is ?warming? - A challenging cache, but worth it
