Takes less than an hour  Not Available at all times  Available during winter  Field Puzzle

CONGRATULATIONS TO icezebra11 FOR THE FTF!!!

This is a straight-forward field puzzle cache.  If you understand the appropriate procedure it will be a quick find for you.

The listed coordinates take you to a small pull-off area along the south side of U.S. Highway 6.  Stop here and look around.  Several signs are nearby.  One is a fairly large, rectangular “No Trespassing” sign mounted on a green post that has been bent so it is leaning toward the west.  Go to its base–you can easily approach it without trespassing.  At its base take accurate coordinates.

The  cache is located 76 m North and 794 m West of the No Trespassing sign.  It is a small white medicine vial hanging in a tree. Please replace everything exactly as you’ve found it.  Have fun with this field puzzle!

DNF

Write note 05/13/2019 By Denali41
It’s too bad about Spooty’s DNF. There have been six previous DNFs on this cache, all demonstrated to have been by cachers who have overlooked the cache during their search—as subsequently evidenced by my actually checking on the cache, or by later finds by other cachers. I have no reason to believe the situation is any different on this occasion.

DNFed this one today.
I was really bummed, because I DNFed it over 4 years earlier, and I really needed a puzzle find today, and this was the only candidate for miles around and I made a detour from I-80 just for it.
I must have spent 30 minutes looking for this one; I very rarely take that long. I checked out the proper(?) tree and a tree or two on either side. I did have to toss aside a bunch of tumbleweeds too. I ran into a couple of nests, one which looked dormant and one which had a couple of eggs in it. Today the place nearby was closed (i.e., no muggles to worry about), so I even walked around to the other side, just in case light and shadows would give me a different perspective on things.
It's been almost 2 years since anybody's gone for this. For the CO's sake, I hope it hasn't gone missing. But perhaps, despite all my effort, it's still there....

7:52 as a thunderstorm powered past us

I solved this from home before leaving Sacramento, and weren't certain it would still be here. On our way here the yellow storm clouds concerned us a bit, but by the time we pulled up at GZ there was just a little rain where we were. It was interesting seeing a rainbow against dark clouds to the east, and seeing a beautiful golden sunset toward the west.

The dove nests almost made us give up, but after about 10 minutes UBAD said the magic words. That was immediately followed by, "Whoops! That's a real dove!" A few minutes later a different dove led him to the container.

Team WiOrCa2 heading to Cheyenne but stopped here for the find. I almost upset a local family reaching for the wrong cache. Finally signed the log and returned as found.
