In 1970, my parents moved into an un-named trailer park on West High Street. They had just bought a Bonneville trailer.
My Mom says I learned to walk on the rocks and I spent many days walking the long road from the mailboxes to my front door. The rocks look bigger, the trees are smaller and the trailers are all gone. (so are the miles of barbed wire that the owner had installed)
The City of Colorado Springs has gotten rid of the barbed wire and nature has done a lot to erase most of the signs of civilization. I love that I grew up here, but I am glad that I moved or I would have never met my split-apart.
Thankfully, I get to explore the entire area from both sides of the Bluffs now.
For those who don't remember the former owner of this area... he shot trespassers with rocksalt or held them at gunpoint until the police showed up. The property was his and he protected every inch of it.
I hope everyone appreciates the beauty of this area and the ability to actually enjoy it!

152nd cache found. Today Lucy (my four legged teammate) and I went to Red Rock Canyon in hopes of knocking out a few D/T combos. It was a beautiful day especially after all the cold and snow we had earlier in the week. TFTC

Incredible! I looked for this one for a while in the obvious place but it wasn't exactly at GZ and then put the coordinates in again ….Yep....they were right.....and just stood there and looked again and found it. Good job! TFTC

Finally found this after a snow and a melt. Thought I was going crazy but then previous hints helped tune me in. I must say it was easier to find in the winter I bet. Cache in good condition. 16 feet off from geocache app.
