Event update: Thanks to the current situation in the world, the establishment hosting the event has been closed. Fortunately, there are selling pizza and beer outside for those that are interested.

This event will be held in the parking lot outside the brewery. All current social distancing rules will be enforced (which will give herndonrd the opportunity to make a snide comment at my expense).

But I digress.

Because of the weather and the current outbreak, you are not required to leave your car to attend. I will not have a log for you to sign, since anyone who knows me knows that I love to chew on my pens. Instead, you can log your attendance by including a picture of me, my San Jose Sharks flag, and/or my San Jose shirt. It's almost as if an event and a virtual had a baby, and I'm it.

But I digress.

Obviously this is not your typical event, but these are not typical times. I have received approval for the event to occur this way because of the social distancing regulations in effect. Should you choose to exit your vehicle, please maintain a reasonable distance from your fellow cachers (yet another opportunity for herndonrd). No more than ten people can be outside the event at any time.

I hope to see my fellow brave cachers there, and look forward to social distance eventing.

Original event text:

This event is part of the South Metro Meet Up series. Thanks to the inititative of the lovable and cuddly herndonrd, these weekly events have been going on for quite some time now.  The purpose is simple: to hang out and talk geocaching and/or anything else that suits your fancy. Though the establishment serves plenty of pizza and beverages, no purchase is necessary to attend the event.

The event title will be determined at or after the event, once I review all of the challenges that I have signed to see what words I need. Yes, I am without shame. That being said, please let me know if there are any words or things you want in the cache title for your challenge needs.

I applaud your ingenuity in making this event a success even in the face of great odds!

Well done. A fun way to keep the event going in these unusual times. I enjoyed reading all the attended logs too.

Nicely done, Joe. I hope, one day to attend one of your South Metro events.

Since the huggle is still out & about doing his inspector thing (yes, construction is still happening) I convinced him geocachers are no more likely to be sick than construction workers & I heard there was going to be toilet paper, he agreed to sit & be counted at this event.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of COVID-19,
I will Fear no Fish:
for thou art 6 feet away from me;
thy hockey stick and tie die jersey they horrify me.

I survived (so far) the Pandemic of COVID-19.
