I figured since it is spring again, it is time for another baseball themed puzzle. The cache is not at the posted coordinates -- you will need to solve to find the cache. You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com. Congratulations once again to ernie66 for the FTF!

Welcome back to this exciting game. It is now in the top of the ninth inning. The home team has a slight two run lead. They have brought their closer in to try to nail this one down.

The first batter up for the visiting team will be the first baseman, Steve Cox. Here comes the first pitch, it's high -- ball one. Here comes the second offering, it is hit high to the center fielder, Hubbards. He makes an amazing running catch. That is out number one. What a catch.

The next batter is the third baseman, Ted Evans.

The pitcher glares in at the catcher. He's got the signs. Here's the pitch. It is hit past Tom Barry, the second baseman into right field. Rick Jacobssen throws it back in.

Next up is the right fielder, Ray Cobb. He has been batting three hundred this year in the ninth inning with runners on base. The first pitch comes in a little bit low for ball one. The pitcher is really glaring back at the umpire after that call. He's not so sure about that one. The second pitch is right over the inside corner for strike one. A heater comes in and knocks the batter down -- ball two. The next pitch is hit right down the first base line over the bag. Evans slides safely into third while Cobb is in safely at second.

They're in business now!

The first pitch into the shortstop, Bill Williams, is strike, right down the middle. The pitcher winds and fires. The pitch is driven into right field and falls right in front of Jacobssen. Evans scores easily and Cobb is into third, and Williams is at first. They are now within a run.

Left Fielder Rob Johnson, hits the first pitch to second. That starts a 4-6-3 double play! The home team wins the game!

Had to get help with the puzzle, as usual. The replacement cache is surprisingly still in place and dry. TFTC.

Was out in this area today and decided to see if the replacement was in place (had looked earlier and didn't see the original, decided to wait to see if others did the look). Since I saw it had been replaced I decided to check it out and sign as long as I was there. Nice replacement, not as originally described but good (for future finders, 5 to 6 foot up, back side of the cache worshipping location).

We've tried this one numerous times but the cache was always gone. This time we replaced it with a new one which I'm sure will also disappear

TFTC I joined nicehice this morning for a bit of caching down in the Springs. It is a beautiful sunny day, but it is warming up quickly.

After umpteen visits to GZ since 2011, I have joined the ranks of replacement cachers. I duct taped a camo'd pill bottle to a branch about chest high away from the trunk from the inside on the street side toward the parking lot.

Stopped by and could not find the replacement cache... or the other replacement cache. I am sensing a trend here. I left a replacement container as well! I put mine on the same branches the last finder mentioned but mine is about 1m away from the base and closer to the ends of those branches. Sad that this one keeps going missing. Thanks for the cache though!
