Yui

Once located on the mainland 14 leagues inland from Cumberland Island and probably in the southeastern part of the present state of Georgia, they were described as having five villages. The name first appears in Spanish documents. They were visited by the missionary at San Pedro on Cumberland Island and appear to have been Christianized early in the seventeenth century. At one time, the missionaries estimated them to number more than 1,000 in 1602. However, no individual mission bore their name and they are soon lost sight of, their history becoming that of the other Timucua tribes.

It was my mom's birthday today, and she wanted to go geocaching for the day! It was a bit cold today with the rain and wind, but we managed to get 46 of our 56 cache goal. We had to get the last 10 the next day. TFTC!

Out on a chilly afternoon picking up a bunch of caches. I was lucky in that all of them were found quickly and in good shape. Traffic was pretty light almost everywhere I went. TFTC

#41938 Found while passing through the area on my way out to Fort Morgan. Parked in a convenient spot nearby and made the short walk over to the cache. Found it easily after a short search. Signed in and headed off down the road. TFTC
