Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Dangerous Animals  Stealth required  Short hike (less than 1km)

This cache is actually a cleverly disguised Stargate, a device that allows for instant (well instant'ish) teleportation of Travel Bugs by creating a wormhole to a complementary device on another planet (or city). If you want miles on your TBs leave them here!

Humans,

This is a one way stargate. Any Travel Bugs dropped in the portal device will be transported within days to a new distant location, gaining many, many miles in the process.

Please indicate in your electronic logging device if you want your TB to be dropped off permanently at the new destination or returned to Earth (Colorado) thereby achieving maximum mileage.

Some rules:

  • If you want your TB to travel through the stargate please place it in the portal device which can be found within the portal containment vessel
  • Please do not remove waiting Travel Bugs from the portal device. This is a one way portal for Bugs only that want to travel through the portal
  • You may leave / pick up swag from the containment vessel but please don't place swag in the portal device itself
  • TBs that are not in the portal device can be traded
  • The portal power source is not currently sufficient enough to transport very large Travel Bugs
  • Because of portal size and the absence of state of the art power systems on your planet the stargate can only operate in 'batch configuration'. The portal will initiate approximately once every 5 days so please be patient.

The portal can be approached from Blakeland drive or from within the state park. The quickest route is to approach from Blakeland. You can park up on the south side close to the canal where it seems to be legal.

WARNING: The Stargate is not responsible for overzealous creatures who wish to remove trackables prior to transport. To reduce the potential for Human error (given the primitive nature of the species), please ensure you place your TB within the portal device itself

The grass gets pretty overgrown in the Summer and reptilian earth-dwellers have been spotted sun-bathing nearby. Avoid dawn and dusk and exercise caution in these months. The short trail is somewhat precarious in places, the Ra Empire will not assume any responsibility for injury!

Congrats to mattfast1 for a very quick FTF!

Thank you, Ra III

In town (Wheat Ridge) Visiting relatives for a week and trying to squeeze some geocaching in. This cache is the first for Douglass County. Traded the path tag for an un-activated Extagz travel bug.

Nicely done. Signed log.

Thanks proteus75 for giving me a reason to get outside. It’s always worth it when you are enjoying nature. There is nothing better than acting like a kid again, digging through weeds and climbing trees, all to sign my name on a piece of paper.

Found with Cachly for IOS.

Great portal! Left a TB in the portal. Hoping he will travel to a new destination. Left lots of treasure, too!

7:59:00 AM Out for a ride on the Highline today. I dropped a Colorado Trail hiker off this morning at Waterton - which was the perfect excuse to go for a ride here! I ended up getting lost ( I didn't realize that the canal wasn't continuous) and explored a new bike path near Chatfield. Luckily, since it was Sunday the construction crew wasn't working and I was able to meet back up wtih the canal.. I also had to yield (actually walk my bike) past some very skittish horses. And I quit for the day when I found a rattlesnake guarding a cache. Lots of adventures! Thanks! This was kind of a creepy place this morning. I wish I had a big dog. No sign of rattlesnakes here!

Finally able to grab this one after several tries but always ran into works at the access point. Nice hide but no trackables to take on my trip.

Tftc! There is still a TB in here. Wish I would've brought my TBs to drop.
