GC5PN6B Unknown Cache 20 D/T combos in a day CHALLENGE cache
Type: Mystery | Size: Small Small | Difficulty: 5 out of 5 | Terrain: 4.5 out of 5
By: 3 Williams Kidz @ | Hide Date: 03/18/2015 | Status: Available

The cache IS at the above coordinates, but you must satisfy the CHALLENGE before you can log a find.  The challenge is to find at least 20 caches IN A SINGLE DAY, each with a different Difficulty/Terrain (D/T) rating.
The overall D/T grid has 81 possibilities -- your challenge is to have found at least 20 of those 81 possibilities in a single day.
It is NOT a requirement to have found all 81 possibilities -- aka, the "Fizzy Challenge".

BE CAREFUL OF THE BARBED WIRE !!!

THIS CACHE DOES NOT COUNT AS ONE OF YOUR TWENTY IN A SINGLE DAY.

Per geocaching.com rules for a challenge cache which can be seen at: Challenge Geocaches ... you may sign the physical log at any time -- if you do so, recommend logging a "Write Note" indicating that you have signed the log. However, the challenge cache may be logged as found online only after the log is signed and the challenge tasks have been met and documented.
Any and all previous caches that you have found count, even if they have been disabled and/or archived -- as long as you found them all on a single day.

Difficulty of 5 is based on having to find the required caches; terrain rating of 4.5 is based on a combination of figuring a terrain rating of 3 (best guess for the most prevalent and easiest way to get 20) for the qualifying caches, plus a terrain rating of 1.5 for this cache location.

Once you have met the requirement of having logged 20 or more different D/T finds in a single day, you must include proof in your log entry to include cache names, GC codes, the D/T ratings, and the date of the one day on which you found them. Any Found It! log entries without proof of qualification will be deleted. We have met the qualifications, as can be seen on this screen capture of our qualifying cache finds, taken from mygeocachingprofile.com While we found 25 different D/T combos in a day, the challenge here is to find 20.

CONGRATULATIONS to crumbcrunchers for FTF a mere 21 minutes after the cache published !!!

Took a two-and-a-half-week trip with my son (Folboter WBF) who had just graduated from high school. We went from Ohio through Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Calilfornia, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and back to Ohio. We visited lots of great spots like Carlsbad Caverns, San Diego, LA, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, and Pike's Peak. What a fantastic trip full of great memories!

And of course we did some geocaching along the way! We found caches in 82 new counties for us. We found five state's oldest caches (Tennessee, Texas, California, Nevada, and Colorado). We also visited seven webcams and found 22 virtuals, 19 earthcaches, various challenge caches, a few gadget caches, and lots of traditionals ... almost 200 total caches for the trip! Thanks to the cache owners for putting these great caches out there for us to enjoy on our trip!

We love challenge caches, so we had to stop for these along Rt. 24.

Folboter JAF has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

Heading out to Falcon and decided to stop and sign a few of these challenges. We will research and see if we qualify. Out geocaching on this beautiful Colorado autumn day. Today we are seeking caches with specific placed on dates, certain D/T ratings or caches that have attributes that fit in challenges we are working on. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find today.

Our Colorado vacation continued today with a trip up Pikes Peak, then a bunch of caching as we made our way up to Golden. Nice quick find on this one. We were up this way yesterday, not sure why we didn't attempt it then. Glad to see we're well qualified. TFTC!

Our English is not perfect, we use Google Translate to help us ...

Our journey began last August 22 and will take us to visit twelve US states and two Canadian provinces ... Our departure was from Baie-Comeau, a city on the North Shore of Quebec and then continue for a few days in Quebec City where we did some Geocaching .... Then we stopped at St-Eustache and Ville de Laval, still in Quebec, and then flew to Portland, Oregon... We made stop in Umatilla on August 28 still in Oregon, August 29 in Boise, Idaho, August 30 in Twin Falls and August 31st we are in Salt Lake City for two days... The 2nd of september we were in Rock Springs. Wyoming and the september 3 the road brought us to Laramie, Wyoming... Today will be our second and final day in the Colorado Springs area

Throughout the trip we have targeted some caches that will help us achieve our personal goals and we will certainly discover new places that Geocachers here will want us to discover ... We have been planning this trip for several months and know we will not be able to not all see for lack of time ... There are many caches but we must close our eyes can not find them all ... But it is with pleasure that we will put our signature on some of them ...

Thank you for creating these caches that add smiles to our profile and make us have a good time regardless of the mood of Mother Nature ... Our log will be the same for the whole day and if there is a particularity we will add it at the beginning of the text ... Favorites will be added here and there for all the work done ... TFTC
