The Prairie Falcon eats mostly small mammals and birds caught in flight. It often hunts by flying fast and low, at a height of only a metre or so, hoping to find surprised prey as it comes over the terrain or around a bush. Its cruising speed is estimated at 72 km/h (45 mph) and it accelerates in the chase. It also pursues prey sighted from a perch, again often flying very low. It typically catches birds by pursuing them in level flight and grasping them, less often knocking them down in spectacular dives

Went for a four hour drive on the plains today in warm temperatures and high winds. There were also a million stickers wanting to go home with me. It would have been great to see a Prairie Falcon. Alas, not today. Thanks for the placement, Imusttravel2000!

Enjoying another day traversing the countryside, acquiring many miles and boosting cache numbers and others in between along the power trails!
Nothing better than caching along the back country roads of America! Thanks for placing these out here. Most were in good shape in these sections however i did replaced wet logs and broken containers as needed. Initialed logs

Out and about caching with PayMeCache on a nice but muddy spring day. We decided to hit the plains east of Denver since he had some work stuff out this way. Fortunately that didn't last long and we had time to find some caches. Thanks for the fun addition to a great day of caching in the mud.

fearthefish and I had hoped that I was going to be able to play today but heh324 made a couple of appointments for me that threw a wrench in our plans.

I had an estimate not far from here this morning. To be honest I wasn't too excited about coming out here. fearthefish couldn't stand that I was going to be around so many caches that he had not found and decided to throw on his shoes and drive out here to find some caches with me.

All is well here with the cache. Signed our initials on the log sheet to save space and time.

Found Prairie Falcon View on May 11, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.

Thank you, imusttravel2000 for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy. I look forward to finding more of your caches.
