Waterton Canyon is finally open again after being closed for more than a year. So, I returned to Waterton and hid several caches including this one.

Micro container at an interesting historical location.
Get your bike out and head up into Waterton Canyon to a location known to the railroad that used to be here as Intake. The railroad had a short siding here.

This is also where there is a water diversion that was built long ago. There is a benchmark nearby that you can also log. If you find the benchmark, look over the edge into the water below and spot the old piece of railroad rail that has probably been there since the early 1940's when the railroad was removed from Waterton.

As always in Waterton Canyon, watch for rattlesnakes, bighorn sheep and mule deer. Also, watch out for spiders in the area.

Thanks cajrrman for giving me a reason to get outside. It’s always worth it when you are enjoying nature. There is nothing better than acting like a kid again, digging through weeds and climbing trees, all to sign my name on a piece of paper.

Spotted bighorn sheep, mule deer, and one spider on the way to the cache. Getting a little cool for rattlesnakes perhaps. TFTC

Found on a hike with Boy Scout Troop 685. Freaked out the guy who opened it after having a run in with a snake earlier in the day. TFTC!

My second of thirteen caches found with Sissadies and cajrrman. He invited us on a bike ride today at Waterton. Our first time bike riding in years, that was a brutal but fun intro since we went about 16+ miles round trip. Definitely need better bike seat, ouch! Also pretty sure I accidentally put tomorrow's date on our log, oops.
