A Pawnee National Grassland Cache
This cache is located at a stop on the Pawnee National Grassland Bird Tour. There is another stop located a short distance from this cache at N40° 44.013' W104° 24.019' that might be worth seeing. There is a Prairie Dog Town located just east of these coordinates as well as a home to several burrowing owls. Bring your binoculars and look to the east carefully. You just might get a glimpse of the owls as they pop out of their nests in the ground. They can be difficult to distinguish from the prairie dogs but they are there. Early morning is the best time. The day I placed this cache there was a huge Golden Eagle on the windmill. This is a log only cache, bring your own pen.

Working the area power trails to knock out the Mystical Creatures quest. This is a cut and paste due to the need for speed. If there are any issues, they will be added. Thank you for the placement!
A blue tailed skink was guardian to the hide! Haven’t seen one in ages!

Out for a day on the plains with Memfis Mafia. Thanks for the cache and running around in his jeep, doors off, sun shining fun.

Thanks, Prairie Mule, for placing and maintaining this cache. We found it in great shape and enjoy all the caches we find as a family.

For 2018 we are working on really getting back into Caching. To do this we are upping our enthusiasm and the number of our cache trips. This is cache number 6488 for us. We have also hidden 245 so we understand and appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining a cache. Thanks again and go have fun.

The log was wet beyond repair. I replaced log and put it in a lil baggie. Dippin bugs for the miles.

I had the day to myself so I made a plan to tackle as much of the Colorado Star as is available. After that I visited other caches in the Pawnee Grasslands. My goal was to find 100 in a day, but I was thwarted by heavy rain in the late afternoon. Still a great day. SL TFTC
