Take N 287 to W 14 (follow signs to Poudre Canyon). Park at the Picnic Rock River Access. This cache literally requires you to go "over the river and through the woods" so wear appropriate footwear. Cache altitude is 5304 ft. This is a popular site, so please be discrete when finding the cache. This is a GREAT place for a picnic or family outing. Enjoy a picnic by the river, or continue up the road for a scenic drive.
The cache is a clear rubbermaid container. The original contents were: log book, camera, pen and pencil, pencil sharpener, heart pencil with topper, hawaiian lei, postcard, heart keychain, latex gloves, log coaster, book clip, highlighter, peace brochure, and the Yellow Hand Travel Bug.
Please sign the log book and take a picture of yourself with the disposable camera and list the number in your log. Pictures will be posted on the page.

For sure a favorite! I dont know how you get over there in the summer but I got lucky and walked across it frozen! Herenthere420 chickened 75% through the river and frozen and watched me get the cache. And 10 dollars!! Tftc!!

I tried to go for this one, but there were so many muggles, I had to give it up. There was no way I could have crossed the river without a bunch of people watching me, wondering what I was doing. Bummer. Long drive for nothing.

Had fun going after this one today. All the out-of-towners were all bundled up in their coats looking at the river as I walked across in my sandals with water up to my knees. took a moment to make the fine but I got it and sign the log! Thanks for this fun older hide.
