Went out for a hike with Roo and her dog Ridley this afternoon; what a beautiful day! Roo spotted this one after we circled around for a while. Thanks for placing this cache for me to find. TFTC.

What a day! I have been looking forward to this for quite a while. I've been working hard and caching has taken a back seat for the last several weeks. I had planned this day off though to geocache with my brother down in Monument. His work schedule afforded him this day off and I've been planning and strategizing on caches for the last several weeks. The weather was beautiful and the caching extremely successful! We found 11 with no DNFs (although we got close a few times) and I filled in two Jasmer squares and FOUR FIZZY squares.

I enjoy finding lonely caches and this hadn't been found in about 8 months. That time was almost extended as my brother and I both struggled with the find. It was a beautiful walk to GZ so I definitely appreciated that. Then some bushwhacking to get to GZ and then... so many places to look!

We got to the point where I finally set a timer to keep ourselves in check. This wasn't on my Jasmer/Fizzy goals for today but was a puzzle I had solved a while back and since we were down here figured I'd make the grab. It's a funny thing about hides like these - after you find it you ask yourself how in the world did you miss it the first dozen times you walked past it! Thanks to my eagle-eyed brother, he gets credit for the find. And with minutes to spare on our self-imposed timer!

Having grown up in California and living in the Bay Area, I remember exactly where I was on October 17, 1989. And I definitely appreciate the thought that went into this puzzle. For the puzzle and for the beauty of the trail to the hide, this gets a favorite point!

Thanks for the hide thebobcats. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.
