The Smithsonian Institution is an educational foundation chartered by Congress in 1846 that maintains most of the nation's official museums and galleries in Washington, D.C. The U.S. government partially funds the Smithsonian, thus making its collections open to the public free of charge.

Washington, D.C. is a prominent center for national and international media. The Washington Post, founded in 1877, is the oldest and most-read local daily newspaper in Washington. It is probably most notable for its coverage of national and international politics as well as for exposing the Watergate scandal.[

I came down today from Wellington with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo to find three wherigo caches in the area. The cartridges for two of them played well, but the third wherigo will require another try. After the wherigos were finished I had time to hunt for the remaining "state" caches I needed to complete a challenge cache. Before last month I had found 41 of the 51 caches needed for the challenge, all during my travels outside of Colorado. Then in April I found two of the Imusttravel2000 caches, leaving me with eight. One, New Hampshire, has been archived, so there were seven caches of specific interest to me today, including this one. All were straightforward finds and signs. So with these caches I'm now only one shy of completing the 51! I will need to research where I can find a cache with "New Hampshire" in the cache title. Does anyone have a suggestion?! Thanks for these caches, Imusttravel2000!
