As you head down to get the cache, look into the tunnel to get a good view of the mud nests clinging to the walls of the tunnel. No need to go into the tunnel as the cache is outside. Barn swallows are common across most of North America and are nearly exclusive in their habit of nesting in man made structures such as bridges, stables, and barns such as their name implies.

I am visiting my daughter again here in this great state, and I just had to go on a power run once more. Thank you to all of the CO's that placed these caches out here. I certainly love visiting these remote areas as one can only wonder the stories of these places from long ago. Although I felt tempted to cross the tunnel, I opted to go back up the same way I approached the cache. I found this one in good shape. TFTC

TFTC! We put the log in a bag because it was a little damp.

With such beautiful weather, we went on a long drive to the Colorado plains and found 36 caches. This was the hardest approach to a cache with the snow drifts. Went down the embankment and plowed through the snow drifts. The more direct approach to return to the geomobile was much easier. Rarely do I take the easy way TO a cache. Thanks for the placement, Rohatx!

Nickgatt needed to do maintenance on some of his caches, so my three geohounds and I drove out east with him and found several caches along the way. TFTC SL.
