This cache is meant to serve as "sacred ground." A place to write a letter to those people who can't be reached. A place to sit on a great big rock and talk to those who have been in our lives who can't be talked to any longer.
Bring along a notepad (or write in the logbook) and write a letter to someone who was in your life at some point, but that you feel you can't (or really can't) talk to any longer. The reason may be good, bad or indifferent. Moved away, lost contact, passed on or whatever. The first log entry is to my grandfather who died many years ago.

This cache is located in a remote and very beautiful area, perfect for sitting and thinking about your life...

Please treat this cache as a sacred area. There are no trade items in the ammo box. You can leave behind any meaningful items, but please do not remove any. Just leave your letter and any items that go with it there. I plan to compile the letters into a .pdf book at some point in the future and will include photos of the items.

Took coords with an e-trex at 15' accuracy. Altitude 8254. Please use designated parking area near bottom of hill. Terrain is loose dirt and scrub bushes/spanish daggers. Cache is .2 miles from parking and 800' higher.

 Hints

[1] A direct route from the back of the formation is not recommended.

[2] Ammo box is eightish feet below where I stood to take the coords.

[3] It is in one of the medium spaces between the big rocks.

Enjoyed the hike up and scrambling around on the rocks - thanks!

I couldn't come up with this one today. The previous nights unforcasted snow made the rocks just a little too slippery for me. I'll see if I can make it back out here for this one when the weather is better. TFTC!

I was camping in the area for the weekend with all my kids. My son and I enjoyed an afternoon of caching on the dirt bike. We took a few minutes to enjoy the view and reflect. Thank You for pointing our this beautiful place.

I work at Lost Valley Ranch which is only a mile or so away from this cache. My co-workers went horseback riding to this rock and I managed to find the box. Oddly enough it was the unfortunate and untimely loss of my best friend that began a chain of events that led me to work here in Colorado. It has been over 2 years now, and it was nice to write a little something about him.

Thank you for that.

Came by to collect the mail. Replaced logbook with a nice journal. The ammo box is very watertight and everything inside was nice and dry.

It is evident that some folks aren't treating the cache as it was intended to be. Please don't leave snarky or silly remarks. People have poured their hearts out and it would be nice to respect that.

Cache is in great shape and located right where it should be. Ready for the summer cache season, so add this one to your list when you are feeling reflective.
