First attempted cache of the day on a day where I got two T4.5 caches including one through a storm drain and another on a steep hike. Ironically this was the one that made me bleed! This dragon has some teeth! I parked fairly close to GZ after dropping my son off at school. The title made sense to me and there were only a couple options about where it could be. I do remember a time maybe two years ago where this title would’ve completely confused me. But I digress…

I figured out where it should be. But all I could spy was a twig. I got out one of my TOTT and extracted it. But that was not the cache. I then thought that perhaps another TOTT of mine would work to extract the cache which I assumed was wedged in. That failed pretty quickly.

I thought about my approach and considered the possibility of a DNF. But I refused to be deterred. I got yet another TOTT and proceeded to do some light dismantling. And then I saw a muggle coming and proceeded to the next closest cache.

Fast forward about ten minutes and I was back at it. This time I remained uninterrupted. It took a few minutes but I cleared enough space to FINALLY extract… another large twig. Apparently others had tried their hand at improvised tools. And none of them had worked.

At last I was able to squeeze my hand in and get the cache out. And lost a little skin in the process!

After signing the log I reassembled the whole thing and tightened the nuts as much as I could. Whew! Hopefully this will remain in a retrievable spot for future finders to truly find it!

Thanks for the hide Edwards654. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

Out for some easy caches to wrap up our weekend...didn't find this one, and there's not many places for it to hide. We'll have to watch and come back! - CachingNashs
