Slippery Slope but no need to go down the slope as you cannot reach the cache from below unless you are very (like 10 feet) tall. Watch out for the old barbed wire. The original cache went missing but now it back up and running (figuratively). After a short hike up the Hog Back Valley trail, you will be standing, when you get to the coordinates, on the Codell sandstone - the remnants of a shallow, muddy sea that covered the area about 90 million years ago, before the area was pushed up by the latest incarnation of the Rocky Mountains. No need to bush whack to the coordinates as there are several casual trails off the Hog Back Vally Trail that will get you to the coordinates without having to tramp anything. If you are approaching from the north, and your GPSr compass starts to say go left, stay on Hog Back Valley trail just a little longer and you will find a good trail to the left. Excellent view to the south at the coordinates. You might need an extraction device to get the log out.
