Took my sons on a nature walk along here today, and found plenty of evidence of beaver activity, but this was by far the most impressive (and recent). I'd say this took a bit of time to accomplish.
Terrain varies depending on how you approach. The most direct approach is down a steep but manageable hillside. Or, there is a foot path that starts at the "intersection" of Florida and Cherry Creek Drive North and has a less steep approach, but a longer walk (still only a tenth of a mile). The start of this path also has a great elevated view of the beavers' dam.

The beavers seemed to have moved on, so I replaced this cache with a different creature. Hopefully it was last a while!

We tried pretty hard to find this one even expanding our search & checking the ground. If it is susceptible to high water I’m sure there has been some since it was last found although it is very low right now.

Found with junior geocacher YAGDC after a brief search. Getting the container open took just as long! Never encountered a container like this one. We signed the log and replaced as found. That must have been an extremely busy beaver! Thanks!

This is one of THOSE caches. I pulled up confident that I knew where the cache was without paying close attention to the map. After after searching for about 10 minutes in the snow, I was sure it wasn't there. So I pulled out the map. Once I went to the correct place, I quickly made the find. and looked and found out that I was right. Then I searched the correct location and made the find. Then came the difficult part for me. I'm giving this a favorite just for the amazing container and how difficult it was for this little monkey to open it. Ninteenth cache of the day. I hope to find 20 today in the snow. Tftc!
