What's that Big Yellow Thing?

Some History of the Land:

"Merchants Park" was the home of the Denver Bears Baseball Team from 1922-1947.

Then the Merchant Park Shopping Center occupied this land. There was a bowling alley here during the 50's and early 60's.

Years later came the "BIG Yellow Thing" or the "Articulated Wall"

The cache is not at the waypoints listed above. Read the sign and find the info needed for help on "Y" Just look up and count for help on the "Z".

N 39.42."Y" / W 104.59."Z"

"Y" = the year of construction minus 1662

"Z" = 403 plus the number of 'Levels" in the art piece

The cache is a camo large pill bottle. Please bring your own pen.

BE Very Mindful of the Guards. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to drive away.

After waiting an hour to pick up our rental car, mdawaffe and I visited the Big Yellow Thing to take our O.W.L. exam, and we also solved this quick puzzle. Unfortunately, we weren't among the fast finders, and a security guard did stop by. Although he thought we were weird, he said we could carry on, and we continued the hunt. mdawaffe was much more interested in catching shiny squirtles, though, and I was getting hungry for lunch, so eventually we gave up and left empty-handed. Thanks for highlighting the wacky sculpture.

I came out after solving this puzzle a few months ago to find it. But I had no luck. Today it was easy find with @WindAtMyBack. Tftc!

Solved this from home & thought a Sunday am would be a good time to stop. It was although the security guard did drive by just after we replaced the cache. And then again & again.

Found with EasternGirls while doing a long and adventurous virtual. This was our last stop. The puzzle was solved easily, and the FC was found.
