This cache requires a code to open! To get the code, you must find the year when Miller Block was built! If you are having trouble, we suggest reading the hint.
Welcome to Old Town Square, Fort Collins! This area has tons of history and only a handful of caches so why not add another cache and share some history at the same time? This cache is a lockbox that hopefully shouldn't take too long to spot, the real challenge is finding the code. The cache only has enough room for a log and maybe some micro-SWAG. It may take a little force to open the cache as it does rub up against the wall a little when you open it. The cache may require sitting or partially laying down depending on how tall you are to enter the code. Due to this cache's proximity to a building the coordinates may be a few feet off. You are looking for a red-colored awning for a small storefront.
Here is some info on The Miller Block which is right across the "street" as well as Old Town Square
The Miller Block was built on a date not to be disclosed (we will say late 1800s though) by Frank Carl Miller Senior. One of the first tenants of the Miller Block was William S. Bernheim, who had and would go on to have many business partnerships throughout Fort Collins and New York that would all eventually dissolve. The Miller Block was the first building in Colorado to utilize the Howe Truss system, meaning the building didn't have any posts as the ceiling was supported from the roof. Some notable businesses that were inside the Miller block were Bernheim's Clothing Store (Which was owned by Louis Bernheim, William Bernheim's older brother), as well as Miller's liquor store which was owned by Frank Carl Miller Senior himself.
The Old Town Square used to be a rather dilapidated area of town until 1985 when it was bought up and closed to motorized vehicles. In 2015, it was completely remodeled into what it is today.
This cache has been placed with permission from both business owners that use the storefront the cache is by. Congrats to egroeg38 for being the first-to-find!
