Aptly nicknamed the spoonbill, the northern shoveler has the largest bill of any duck in North America. The bill is this bird's most prominent feature, and is longer than its head. The drake has a green head and neck, a white breast, brown sides and pale blue shoulder patches. The hen is buff and light brown with grayish shoulder patches. Hens lay one egg a day until about 9-10 eggs are laid. Incubation length increases slowly during egg laying and becomes full time once the clutch is complete, except for short recesses to eat and drink. One to two days before hatching the ducklings will start vocalizing. Once hatching starts, it takes about 4 hours. Ducklings are led from the nest, usually shortly after dawn. Ducklings can walk and feed themselves from the time they hatch.

I am SOOO thankful for the hint. I was baking by the time I reached this and the hint directed me right where to go. Container is in good shape!
Today after work I went for a bike ride to grab caches. Not the brightest idea on a hot day, but that's what I did. After sweating a bunch I was happy to return to the air conditioned Jeep. I had fun, but I'm glad to be back home.
Thanks for the cache!

Epic winds blasting sand into the eyes made this one fairly unpleasant. TFTC

Took a quick 2.5 mile walk along the Platte River Trail with NTM after work this afternoon and grabbed 7 caches. We enjoyed the clear sky, a calm river and many ducks. Thanks for all the caches, everything was in great condition.

Nice day for a walk along the river.
One of the tougher finds.
But the hint certainly helps.

I got out of work yesterday and I still need size regular caches, so I decided to come this way. Beautiful day with the sun out, the wind is still just a little cool. Wish I had some sunscreen with me, I'll have to get some to keep in the car. I used the hint to help narrow down where to go. I have to admit hides like this always make me nervous. I cached for about 3 years in Arkansas, and this place would have been full of snakes. Managed to calm my fears and make it to the cache. Everything is in good shape. Thanks for the find! Cache #2193.
