GRATZ! To Animjason and Sissadies on CO-FTF!!!

Couldn't help but to hide this on on Leap Day 2016. I was out at the MAC enjoying a nice hike, when this Juniper jumped out at me and said, "You want to hide a cache in me, don't ya?" Well how could I say no.

As icezebra11 reported, we had a great trip to Castle Rock and the Parker area today with his puppy Angel and my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. We met up at the ParknRide in Loveland at 6 am and drove directly to Castle Rock, starting our cache-finding hikes with the dogs at the Ridgeline Open Space, shifting from there to Miller Park for a long loop hike involving some fine caches, then heading back northward to the Parker and Centennial areas for some good targets. It was a very successful day of geocaching, despite the temperatures reaching at least the mid-90s while were were on the trails. At Miller Park the zip line activities were fascinating; I will need to return there sometime to do the zip line sequence!

This was our final cache find at MAC today, and it was an easy find. From this point we headed down to parking so we could rehydrate the dogs and us. We had taken a lot of water on the hiking loop but had used it all because of the heat and very thirsty pups! Thanks for this and for all your other caches here, redwolfef6! You added good excitement to our morning.

Denali41 and I, along with his Lab puppies Zaba and Chimi, and my Lab puppy Angel had a great caching day in the Castle Rock and south Metro areas today, scoring on a lot of really nice caches.

Our first stop was to do some hiking in Castle Rock's Ridgeline Open Space. After we finished there, we next went to Miller Park. It was definitely a really warm day on the trails! We parked near the bottom of the incline and did a long clockwise loop through the park. After finishing the Green Loop we made a short detour on the Gold Loop for this cache. The juniper may be leaping but the cache sure wasn't! It was a quick find though and we signed the log. This was our last cache in the park that we intended to find so we headed back to the truck and off to Parker. Thanks redwolfef6!!!

I had just struck out on Sound of Music and decided to make the short walk up to this one. With the description, I spotted the host from a decent amount of way and was soon searching around.

Even with the snow, I spent some time searching all areas that I could think of with the host. Adjusted my angle and position a considerable amount of times and spent a good chunk of time here but no cache presented itself.

After speaking with Atomic Corgi, I learned that he visited this area about 1 month ago and also couldn't find this cache. Granted it was also the winter but count this one for 2 DNF's up to this point.

I am a trail runner at heart and PSM is one of my favorites. I hadn't been out in a while so I thought I would go and try and get all the geocaches today. I was lucky enough to find all of them! TFTC. DNSL, no pen on my run today.
