11/23/2018 By gampa&gamma It was a pretty warm and sunny (although a bit windy) morning, perfect for caching in the foothills. We must have passed 30-40 big horn sheep during our hike, and they mostly ignored our presence in their domain. It was fun to see the quarry close up - the trees and grasses are slowly reclaiming this area. We found the container quickly; it and it’s contents were in great shape. It’s pretty cool to find a 14 year old cache in such great condition. Thanks for bringing us up here.
11/17/2017 By Lady Bug Lady We could not figure out a starting point for this one. Even sent owners a note but he wasn't sure. Glen erye said they were private. Had to give up for now but if you have found it recently can you please post Parking cords or starting point. Thanks
10/20/2017 By GoMRT Quite the overlook to say the least from here!! Nice place to see the entire area. Was nice to finally reach this point because I was getting winded from the incline!! TFTC

09/25/2016 By SnailMan1 I sat down and took a rest at the cache. During the 70's the scar on the mountain was active quarry. I remember hearing the TNT explosion from Pleasant Valley and seeing a puff of dust fly into the air. This is my 1st time to be up here. The trees are starting to gain some size here at the top. TFTC.

05/30/2015 By MountainBear Found with Java Chip. We approached from Rampart Road. We've always wanted to get over to the palmer trail to see the views and they were amazing! TFTC!
10/18/2014 By ernie66 Stopped by the cache today. Lots of muggle signatures and several food items left in cache. We removed the expired food. The Scar and the National Forest further up are open to visitors again following the Waldo Canyon Fire.
12/15/2012 By toddk3000 I volunteered with some buddies at work to help with Waldo canyon fire erosion. It was hard work and fun. I rewarded myself by sneaking off when we were done to go after this cache. I've had my eye on it for a long time! It was a long hike from the bottom and I was hustling because I was pretty sure I was breaking the rules. The views of the city were amazing, and the views of the fire damage were apocalyptic. I saw a big horn on the way down, and he didn't seem excited to see me, so I kept my distance. Coming up here was a very cool experience and I'm glad I did it. Thanks for dangling the carrot to bring me up here. This is a special place.
Not the big horn that I met
11/23/2011 By hartsdale Best weather day of the month for a long hike along this ridge with rob14erguy.
Thanks for the cache!
I grabbed the coin that had been here since spring.

11/23/2011 By Rob14erGuy After finding this cache, Hartsdale and I saw a herd of about 30 bighorns! I had just mentioned to him that I'd like to see some and there they were! Thanks for the cache
