A Punnett square is a diagram that is used to predict an outcome of a particular cross or breeding experiment. It is named after Reginald C. Punnett, who created it.The square is used by biologists to determine the probability of an offspring having a particular genotype. A Punnett square is a table that determines the possible combinations of alleles following mating. These tables can be used to examine the genotypic outcome probabilities of the offspring of a single trait (allele), or when crossing multiple traits from the parents. The Punnett Square is a visual representation of Mendelian inheritance. Gregor Mendel identified a common 3:1 and 9:3:3:1 ratio from crossing heterozygous individuals, but not the actual Punnett square to predict the outcome of his crosses.

To solve this puzzle It is important to understand the terms "heterozygous", "homozygous,” "dominant allele" and "recessive allele.”  All of the crosses are simple and Monozygotic.

lasouthpaw and I met up this weekend to solve some Dr. Polley puzzles. She asked if I could help with this one. Basically I listened as she talked her way through the puzzle to the green light. I think what I heard was similar to the teacher in Charlie Brown - mwa mwa mwat mwa mwa... we realized last night that this is a twofer! Helos us with the Cache Birthday challenge and a puzzle every day challenge. TFTC! All is well with this cache.

I had to visit this cache today and wish it a happy birthday! Punnett Squares were one of my favorite things in high school biology, so I dove right into the puzzle. I must have tried this one at least four times, and then on the fifth time I realized I missed a "not". Doh! The checker went green after that. It's pretty close to my daughter's school, so I swung by here after dropping her off. It was early so there weren't many people around. I went to remove the camo but it slipped right out of my hands - whoops, freezing fog coated it with ice. But I was able to get a better grip and signed the log under Mondou. Sorry, it was just too cold to unfold the log. Thanks for the puzzle and it was great meeting you at the event last night! Find #3225

This took me back to 6th or 7th grade when I first learned about these. Solved the puzzle a while ago but planetary exploration caused me to actually find the cache. TFTC!!!

This puzzle took me awhile, kept under or maybe over analyzing the questions. Asked a fellow cacher which number(s) were wrong and then got it. What a relief when the cords came up right in the geochecker.

Earlier today I had the pleasure of being part of a park clean up nearby coordinated by the beloved cacher known as benj59.

After the event was over, I went caching with the barely tolerated PayMeCache for a few hours north of Denver. While we were driving around, I took a look at this puzzle and my high school science classes started flashing in my head. The geochecker was helpful, as I made one mistake that I figured out.

As usual with puzzles, I do the heavy lifting and PayMeCache finds the container. Today was no exception. Thanks for the fun puzzle and hide.

I needed to run an errand in the area today after a CITO event down south. fearthefish decided to join forces with me today and grab some caches in the area. We conjoined our handles and signed all logs PayMeFish, just because.

Found GC6CAFT - Punnett Square, on September 29, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.

Some may call me seriously mentally ill. Some may state that I am in a state of mind that prevents social interaction. Some may say I am in a state of mind that prevents normal perception and or behavior. I prefer to say that I tend to do the same thing over and over again, but I expect different results. That being said, I believe we only live one life and I am trying to make the best of it. I thank you, DrPolleyClass for placing a fun geocache to fuel my "insanity" or addiction as I call it. I appreciate you bringing me here so that I can sign my alias on a piece of paper that you have hidden.

I look forward to finding more of your geocaches. I also look forward to potentially finding geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our insanity... I mean hobby or addiction? Cheers!
