Ever wonder why there's an ambulance just sitting, sometimes for hours, in a parking lot or at the local quicky mart? Well, it's all a part of the deployment for EMS systems.

Known as System Status Management, System Status Level, or Posting, this plan determines the best location to place a resource based on number of units available, system coverage, best access, and of course, a very clean restroom near by! This system is "dynamic" in most cases, meaning, that units relocate to provide the best coverage for the system when another unit goes on a call.

I went to an event near here and teamed up with nerak2001 and sqweeter to find a few in the area. It was cool and overcast, but I like caching on days like this. Keeps the muggles at home instead of in all the parks. :P This one was a quick walk across the parking lot and we found it without any trouble. Talked a little bit about a recent wasp encounter I had at one of these, luckily we didn't run into any today. Thanks for the smiley! Find #2398.
