CONGRATULATIONS TO StinkyMillers FOR FTF!!

THIS IS A CHALLENGE CACHE that is located at the listed coordinates. To log a find you must have completed the challenge requirements specified below and have signed this cache's field log.

When the original Fizzy Challenge was published in 2007 by Kealia the Fizzy was considered to be the ultimate challenge.  It generated significant enthusiasm amongst geocachers who were inclined toward particularly difficult quests! Since that time the proliferation of published caches and a tendency toward the inflation of certain cache D/T ratings has now made completion of the Fizzy grid a fairly easy geocaching objective. Today some cachers who are captivated by this challenge complete the Fizzy grid within a few months after they start cache-finding. Certain cachers become serious "star chasers" and thrive by working  continuously on this magical matrix, even after having completing it once or several times.  In fact, by the date this challenge was published several cachers have completed each cell of the Fizzy grid as many as 25 to 30 times! Wow!! And recently a number of challenge caches have been published that require completion of each matrix cell multiple times--these provide a modicum of continued challenge to those having strong continuing interests in the Fizzy concept. Double and Triple and Quadruple Fizzy challenges are now available for those in the geocaching community who love this special component of our geocaching diversity.

To complete the requirements of this challenge, each cell of your Fizzy matrix must show a minimum of four cache finds in it.  No date restrictions apply, so all of your previous cache finds are eligible for this Quad Fizzy Challenge. My current grid is shown here, as an example of what is required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED FINDS SHOWN IN CELL BORDERED BY RED

For obvious reasons, the overall Difficulty/Terrain rating for this challenge is 5.0/5.0. But the D/T for actually accessing and finding the cache is 2.0/1.5. The cache is hidden on Falcon Ridge, where Denali50 and I live. We manage the tract as an active farm, as well as for wildlife habitat. The entire property is permanently protected through two Conservation Easements that require you to reach the cache location by walking along our farm roads.

You have our permission to come onto the property to locate the cache. Drive up Falcon View Drive and park in front of the green gate at the coordinates given below for Parking. For purposes of the sign near the highway, you are our “Guest”. From parking, walk west along the tree-shaded farm road for about 1/4 mile. When you reach a north-south farm road turn left and walk south to the cache location. No smoking is allowed on Falcon Ridge, per common sense and per stipulations of the Conservation Easements, and access is rstricted to daylight hours. Enjoy your time at this special place! Do NOT attempt to approach the cache from the west. Such an approach would require trespass across a neighbor’s property and would necessitate a very difficult crossing of an irrigation canal.

Temporarily Disable Listing 05/27/2019 By Denali41
I'm temporarily disabling this cache because the road leading to it is not currently accessible. If a traveling cacher has been counting on this one, please message me and I will give alternative instructions on how the cache can be safely approached. I will enable the cache again as soon as the road situation is corrected.

Looking up some old challenge caches and fond that I now meet this cache which I signed into on June 8 2014 on my way to groundspeak.

By Way fulfills challenge Quadruple Your Fizzy Fun! A Challenge (GC46P8K) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC46P8K/5590

Thanks to Denali41 for this challenge.

A long way from qualifying for this one but was in the area so decided to find and sign. A minor geotrail helped with the find on this one, otherwise it could have be much more difficult. Hope to change this to a find some day down the road!

I found this cache on 9/15/2015 but didn't qualify. With the help of project GC, I am able to go back and claim some challenges that I had found and now qualify for. My d/t grid has become kind of an obsession for me and my goal is to get to 11 loops so that the color of green changes. Crazy, I know, but it is my goal. I am currently sitting on 8 loops and now qualify for this cache.

Colorado Road Trip!

Headed out for a long weekend road trip with a small number of hand picked caches. I headed south to Topeka and then to Colorado Springs, next to Cheyenne and Rapid City before heading home. I camped most of the way when I could find campgrounds. The scenery was incredible and the hikes in the mountains worth the trip. All these caches made the trip worth every minute!

I found the driveway and headed in to the parking area. It was warm and sunny when I arrived. I really liked the shade as I walked west here today. I have 16 loops completed currently and qualify for this cache. Please see my public profile. Thanks for the great hike on your property.

Thanks Denali41 for the cache!

We really enjoyed our walk on the farm. Found this one easily. Our public stats will show that we have completed 10 turns on the Fizzy. Thanks!

Drove from Kansas City to Fort Collins today with my oldest son. We have plans to attempt some 14ers this week before the rest of the family arrives this weekend. Decided to do some targeted caches in the area before turning in for the night. Thanks for placing this. We enjoyed a nice hike on your property and found the cache doing fine. I recently made it to 16x Fizzy and I am only two away from 17x Fizzy. It is an addictive part of the hobby for me. Proof is available on my stats page.

Lazy beasts that we are, we are just now checking our qualifications and found that we NOW qualify 15 times over. Thanks for the challenge. Proof posted in a snip.

Original note from 7/26/17: We are on a road trip and took a detour on our way to cheyenne and stopped here to sign the log today while traveling through the area.

Just a note until we can provide proof of our qualifications.

Thanks for the fun!

A Fizzy Quad...a couple of years ago I would have thought that notion was ridiculous. Then I started on a challenge to get my D/T score above 2.0/2.0 and the next thing I know is several Fizzy Grids were filled out. I have a dozen loops so far and am oh so close on many more. Those 3/5 caches are rare unless you own a boat (or probably climb mountains in Colorado).

Signed log. Looks like I'm just missing 2 caches to qualify for this one.

Flew out to Denver with zanna to grab a cache in the smattering of counties I had left in Colorado. Along the route we stopped for highly favorited caches, virtuals, earthcaches, webcams, Colorado's oldest, and whatever else that looked interesting. This was certainly one of these. Great spot. TFTChallenge.

FLtravelers has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I have found 324 out of 324.
