A micro cache cleverly hidden, located at the historic Mt Princeton Schoolhouse at the intersection of County Road 321 and 326 southwest of Buena Vista. Bring a writing utensil and maybe some tweezers. No other tools are required.
This cache is located at the Mt. Princeton Schoolhouse AKA Maxwell Creek School. The Mt. Princeton School was in use from 1889 until 1933. One story that is told takes place on Christmas Eve 1902. That evening there was a Christmas party that was taking place, when a big snow storm came. As the local families arrived at the school house with treats and gifts, the snow got worse creating snow drifts 3-4ft and zero visibility. They decided it best to stay the night in the school, where the teacher Miss Thompson read the story "A Visit From St. Nicholas" by kerosene lamp. Everytime I pass by this building I often think of this story and what life must have been like then. Bring a writing tool and tweezers. Happy Caching!

Congrats Hartsdale FTF!

Our 10th cache of the day. Driving back to BV from St. Elmo, we decided to take this side road. Interesting history here. Glad they are restoring it. Took us a minute to zero in on the cache. Many thanks.

We are headed home to Oklahoma from spending 3 weeks+ with our Son and Grandsons in Lakewood CO. Of course, I had to put together a road query for us as we travel. Only seems proper! We spent one night in Espinola CO, following 285 south to I-40. We had gotten a few caches on this route while on previous trips but this time we picked up a few more. Thanks for the new smiley at this cache.

Could see where it resides but the gate was locked both times I tried.

We tend the Indian Oark School House west of Sedalia-built in 1884. I admire the fancy shingles and tower. Ours has no tower but we do have a bell! Tftc and best wishes for the restoration! You get love for the school house
