Aircraft overhead?

Back in 1924, the Longmont Chamber of Commerce announced that this little town would have its own “landing field”. Built on farmland donated to the city by the Kugel brothers (Cole Kugel being the Guiness record holder as the oldest active pilot at 104 when he died in 2007), this city owned airport takes its current name from Vance Brand, Longmont’s one and only home grown astronaut. Brand was selected by NASA in 1966, and called space his “office” from 1975 to 1990 on Apollo/Soyuz and shuttle missions.

Replaced full logsheet. Riding bikes with our grandson and finding caches along the way. Enjoyed watching planes taking off and skydivers jumping. Counted 16 at one time in the sky coming down. SL, TFTC.
