One of my favorite places to walk the dogs.
Found this tree and saw that it had been struck by lightning. The tree died as a result. The lightning ripped off chunks of bark that are laying around on the ground as well as one piece that is still on one of the branches.

As I was admiring the damage, I tripped over this spot to hide a cache. It should be easy to locate. Parking is close by.

Please return it to it's original location as to make it as difficult for the next person as it was for you.

Location was about 20-30 ft. N of posted coordinates but my son managed to find it. We probably would have overlooked this had we not found a similar cache like this, only it was much smaller than this one. Really creative!!!

Holy macaroni, might be one of the best containers ever. Just about gave up and then literally “tripped” over it.

Hint: it’s not in the lighting tree but near it!

Stopped to enjoy lunch in the park and decided to walk my dog a bit. As an afterthought, decided to see what geocaches were about, and found this one with just a little head scratching. Surprisingly few folks around on a Tuesday lunch-hour, so it was pretty easy to go unnoticed (I hope). I can always blame my dog for taking me out in a random field "to find gophers." (wink wink).
