I love when the path to solving a geocaching puzzle teaches you new tools that you didn't know about before. This one was especially fun.

We arrived on site hoping to be first, but as soon as we saw the footprints in the snow heading towards our odd destination, we knew. Yes, it was about 10:45 when we arrived on site, about an hour after GotYour6, turtleboy29, and FayColSalTom were on site. We figure they were logging their find while we were sitting at home, still eating pancakes and sausage, and just beginning to scheme about today's outing. The pancakes were so good though -- ah, really worth it.

Then, a big faux pas -- we awkwardly juggled and dropped the container lid, which fell in the snow, and disappeared. We could not find it for a while! After searching the surface of the snow for a little telltale crater, we desperately started scooping aside an inch of snow at a time until the lid finally turned up. Relieved and still scolding ourselves, we carefully dried out the lid and replaced the cache, no harm done after all. How would it have been if we had lost the lid on the cache's first day of action? Ugh.

Anyway, this is a great puzzle and a great cache. We loved it! We'll give this one a favorite point for puzzle, adventure, and misadventure all together.

{FTF} with GotYour6 and Turtleboy29. That was a fun puzzle to solve and a nice hide. Counts towards my mystery for the day.
Fav point given.

{FTF} 9:56 am Great way to start off our morning of caching with a FTF!
Caching with FayColSalTom & turtleboy29 today finding lots of puzzles we solved during the stay home period and some traditionals on the way. Signing the logs with GYFT - first initial of each of our caching names.

Thank you sleuthers for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find.
