This cache can be reached from the sidewalk.

I grew up on this block, and the house next door to where this cache is hidden was built be George Anderson's family.  This cache is in memory of him.  George's family built the house and he lived his entire life there.  After his mother passed, he lived in the house by himself for his entire adult life.  Our house on the other hand was busting at the seems with a family of seven.  He was the absolute best neighbor we could have ever asked for.  Instead of being annoyed by the constant ruckus of five kids growing up next door, he was always looking out for us, joking around with us, and even reminding us when it was time to change the oil in our cars!  When my parent's home caught fire and nearly burned down while they were out of town, it was George who showed up at my job (this was before cell phones) to tell me and to drive me there.  He was an amazing individual, and the best neighbor ever!  I think he would have enjoyed this cache, and he defintiely would have loved watching people stop by the block to look for it!

If only I could be a fly on the wall to hear geocachers looking for this one. Rode the geocycle over and did a nice 18 mile ride. Love the story about George. Very sweet. Thank your for sharing the story and the nice cache.
