Determine answers to questions below to find the required coordinate numbers by clicking on the hyperlinks I have provided to related videos.  I have visited all these sites without harming my computer and no downloads or signups are required.

Because the answers must be numbers, the questions themselves may not be especially significant to appreciating this great musical ensemble.  The experience of finding the answers, however, will hopefully bring you pleasure as you encounter the life and music of a creative musical group.

Chicago, a self-described “rock and roll band with horns”, began in 1967 as a politically charged, sometimes experimental, rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound, becoming famous for producing a number of hit ballads.  Mixing rock 'n roll, classical, jazz, R&B, and pop influences, they had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, second only to The Beach Boys in Billboard singles and albums chart success among American bands.

The original name was Chicago Transit Authority, under which they released their album of the same name, but soon after, the band's name was shortened to Chicago, when the actual Chicago Transit Authority threatened legal action. The band’s logo bears more than a passing resemblance to the Coca-Cola logo.

Answers a and b are from this video, but b occurs before a (if you wish to save yourself a second viewing).

a. In the second song, the question is “Does anybody really care (about _______)?”  How many letters in the word that fills the blank?

b. The bridge of Saturday in the Park begins with the words “Slow motion rider…”.  How many letters in the name of the popular sport they are shown playing during the bridge?

c. In this video of If You Leave Me Now, how many shakers is the auxiliary percussionist playing?

d. In this video of Make Me Smile, how many letters in the two words that fill the blanks in the lyric “Oh, my darling, got to have you. Feel _____ ________ (yeah, yeah) when I hold you”?

e. Laudir de Oliveira, a Brazilian percussionist, began playing with the band in 1973, and joined officially in 1975.  In this video of Call On Me, how many congas is he playing?

f. In this video of Just You and Me, how many letters (spell correctly, like you learned in school) in the two words that fill the blanks in the lyric “Open your arms, let my love in (let me in, let me in).  Love _____ _________, love me forever and ever”.

g. In this video of 25 or 6 to 4, we see Terry Kath, the band’s original and incredible lead guitarist, playing a rhythmic pattern to cover for a drum set “emergency” before the band begins the song – oh, and thank goodness for roadies, too.  At the end of the video, the song’s composer, keyboard player Robert Lamm, gestures toward a fellow band member to give recognition to the AMAZING guitar solo he played in this performance. Lamm calls out the guitarist’s full name (two words).  How many letters in the two word name Lamm says?

h. In this video of Colour My World, how many wind instruments are played solo?

After DNFs on two different puzzle caches, I was starting to become desperate to keep our daily puzzle cache streak alive. I solved this puzzle a few months ago and have been saving it for our daily puzzle streak that we just began 5 days ago. I got to GZ this early-evening and searched the area for a long time until I finally got into the correct position to be able to see it. All is well with this cache container and log.

This is day 1301 of our current daily caching streak (day 5 of our Mystery Cache streak). Thanks for helping us to extend them by another day.
