A two step multi for General Aviation Enthusiasts!
Ms. Spammer provided creative inspiration for this one!
Proceed to the starting coordinates and locate "tree mail" for directions to final stage. If your GPSr has WAAS, now is a good time to use it, as mine was turned on when I made the hide. You can bet many of the aircraft above you are using WAAS today! You may enjoy watching touch and go landings as you will definitely be in the pattern! You may see a MIG, a Long Easy, or a Citation on final, so please report any unique aircraft seen in your log!

When you locate the clue, hop in your car, as the final leg is a couple of miles, and you probably won't want to walk it!

Initial contents - logbook, mountain base pontoon plane,K9 racer pontoon plane, Klein tools pin, Synnex air pressure gauge, Beaner key ring, Sun Badge IACP coin, Western Air Museum brochure, Frontier boarding envelope.

May 25th, 2009 - Mitsubiushi Twin Engine Turbo Prop Tail Number N86CAT was towed about 100 yards due north in what is probably the most expensive muggling of a geocache container in history! Sign the log in the trees due north of final co-ordinates until I can locate another aircraft!

June 3 2012 - since I have been unable to locate another twin engine turbo-prop to use as my cache container, I have relocated the final to a more common "Log Only" type container/hide much closer to the flight line. Some stealth may be required!

What a great cache to find on Dtiger98's birthday. He flies out of here. The C130 Herc was a nice surprise. TYFTC

I took the wrong approach to stage 1, through the office park, but got there and found the clue. I had never been to the area near stage 2 and it is interesting to watch for a while through the fence. No MIGs but there was a twin-engine jet (LearJet?) sitting on the tarmac powered up. During the time it took to do this cache, I saw several single-engine planes take off and land, but I won't be able to tell you what model any of them were Smile.

Out today finding caches to bring my daily cache count up to 5. I also need a traditional and micro for my calendar date. Thanks for this one. Multis Nate few and far between so we always like to log them when we can. Watched a few planes take off but it really wasn’t very busy today.

Owner Maintenance 03/27/2019 By Spammer
Had a nice day today for cache maintenance visits. Verified that final location was alive and well. Added a number of clues to posted initial co-ordinates to make cache easier. Not sure why this cache was reported as needing maint, but recent Bomb Cyclone may have stirred things up after report. I did find one set of final co-ords "in plain sight" (no pun intended here) lying on the ground in two pieces!

I will not be able to do this maintenance until late in March, thanks for your patience!

Temporarily Disable Listing 03/02/2019 By Heartland Cacher
Greetings I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

This cache was brought to my attention by one or more of your fellow cachers that think this cache is missing and/or in need of maintenance. I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner the opportunity to check on the cache, and repair it, if necessary. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. If the owner feels they will not be able to repair this in a timely manner, let me know, and I'll archive it. This will keep the cache from continually showing up in search lists. It can be enabled once you have made repairs. Please use the “Write Note” feature to leave notes on the cache page. Please do not use the "OWNER MAINTENANCE" log until you do the maintenance and the cache is ready to be found again.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to enable your cache, it will be no problem. You can re-enable the cache page http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 by clicking the link under the cache name or by checking the box that says the cache is active. If a "Needs Maintenance" log was posted, you will also need to log an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" icon from the geocache page. http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404

I look forward to hearing from you. Do not reply to this email. It is sent by a no-reply mailbot so I won't get it. To respond, please do NOT send me an e-mail or a message center conversation as they lack needed functionality for reviewing. Leave a new "Reviewer Note" log here on your cache page. If you're not familiar with this process, see the instructions https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=74. I have your cache on my watchlist, and I will receive a notification when you write your note.

"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance *it will not be unarchived."*

Additionally, please note that if I've not heard from you in 4 weeks, I may be forced to archive this cache. Don't let your cache get archived for non-communication

Thanks for your understanding,
Heartland Cacher

Didn't find anything at stage 1. TFTH

Got it! I found the first stage a couple weeks ago which is right behind the building where I am working. I didn't have time to get the final stage however until today. I was looking through some of the old logs and was impressed that the container used to be an actual plane. Too bad it was "muggled". TFTC!

That was fun! Added new paper.

My brother found the first stage, and I the second. My advice is to wear pants. Look at all the bark.

Found stage 1 back in March. Made it to the final today. There are 2 containers at the final: a 35 mm with new log and an old empty and rusty mint tin. Thanks for the replacing the cache.
