There are extensive waterways in the midst of Washington's largest cites, including Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and Olympia. The state highways incorporate an extensive network of bridges and the largest ferry system in the United States to serve transportation needs in the Puget Sound area. Washington's marine highway constitutes a fleet of twenty-eight ferries that navigate Puget Sound and its inland waterways to 20 different ports of call.
Washington is home to four of the five longest floating bridges in the world: the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge and Homer M. Hadley Bridge over Lake Washington, and the Hood Canal Bridge which connects the Olympic Peninsula and Kitsap Peninsula.

Bill Gates (worth $59.2 billion), the second wealthiest man in the world, is the best known billionaire from the state. Other Washington state billionaires include Paul Allen (Microsoft), Steve Ballmer (Microsoft), Jeffrey Bezos (Amazon), Craig McCaw (McCaw Cellular), James Jannard (Oakley), Howard Schultz (Starbucks), and Charles Simonyi (Microsoft).

In the area for a full day of softball. Left home at 6am and got back home at 11:30pm at night after watching my daughter play 5 games. I was able to sneak out and grab a few caches between games. Thanks for the fun.

When GanderGoose called this morning asking about a quick caching adventure, I agreed heartily! Bit of a chilly day, but that's what keeps the snakes away. This was an extra one added to the list, as you can't possibly end the day with 13 finds, right? Had tried this one a couple years ago with sister from Texas. Thank you for the placement Imusttravel2000.

Out on a spontaneous caching adventure with good friend, #1 Beefers. This was the last cache on a fun day with my buddy. It is always thrilling when there are no DNFs (a rarity). Thanks for the placement, imusttravel2000!

Conditions here made us feel a bit like fish out of water. This one makes ten for the day - and the cold beer is calling. We'll be back!
