Tucker Mountain will be a difficult hike in the summer or winter. In the winter you may choose to purchase a lift ticket from Copper Mountain. The lifts and snowcat will get you within 1 mile of the cache. Decon container on a rock face.Copper Mountain, Copper Bowl:The snowcat operates 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM daily. All of the runs on Tucker are rated Extreme Terrain. Please know your limits before attempting this hill. You will have a .75 mile hike along the west ridge after the snowcat drops you off. The waist deep untracked powder will be well worth your effort. You will want Fremont Glades #3 to get to this cache. There is room for small travel items. You will have to climb a small rock face to reach the cache.

10/13/2012 By kenyansherpa Another sweet one!! The wind was strong as I suspect it always is up here. The snow had piled up so I had to do a bit of a hunt and some digging but was successful! Cache is in good shape after the year and 1/2 since it's last find. Rescued the Raptor TB. TFTH!!!

03/05/2011 By sleuthers My hidden agenda for todays ski trip was this cache. The last one I need to complete Fizzy Challenge (GC1555F). We took the snowcat up then walked a good 30 minutes with an all too brief downhill spurt. The wind was brutal, but luckily at our backs. We popped into the ski patrol hut near the start of the run to warm up for 15 minutes. Finding the cache wasn't bad at all. There was fortunately no snow covering it. The rest of the run down the glade was a struggle. I'm not good in deep powder. My son made it rather well. Thanks for the adventure and putting out these caches. Cheers.
08/08/2010 By estes01 Good workout! Fortunately I was able to use the large hoof prints that some large elk had left to get me up this incredibly steep slope. Have to come back next winter for Biscotti. TFTC.

08/08/2010 By WingsAndTales Since estes01 and I never caught the snow cat running last winter we made the hike today to get the Tucker caches and some others on the way down. I did the Copper Triangle bike ride yesterday which was 80 miles over 3 passes and 6000 feet of elevation gain. Our hike today was 12 miles and 3700 feet so I'm beat. It's a good thing we're using the jeep tomorrow. As we got this one the clouds were starting to look threatening so when we realized that Biscotti was 200 feet lower on the mountain than this one we decided to skip it and head straight up to Tucker Mountain Freeride. And it was pretty much straight up. Traded TBs. TFTC

08/11/2009 By DrewGzy Great area; doubt I will be up there in the snowy season so I was happy to knock this one off when the snow was a little more manageable.
Grabbed the coin and left a $1 chip.
Thanks
08/01/2009 By COpackrat TB drop - not far, but at least it got a little fresh air... after all, that's what this area is about, getting air...
08/01/2009 By COpackrat The snow was REALLY scarce today... :-) but that just made the willows feel taller... TFTC
03/14/2009 By ColoradoOB A beautiful day of skiing and caching at Copper Mountain. Snow is scarce at the top, but once you hit the runs it was great snow all the way down. Interesting climbing rocks in ski boots too. TFTC, SL.
