Dogs  Recommended for kids  Scenic view  Available at all times  Available during winter  Parking available  Horses  Medium hike (1km-10km)

At the bend in Bendetti Rd. there's a BLM access to the Hogbacks with plenty of room for parking.
The only way to travel the half mile from the parking area to the cache is to hike or by horseback, elk trails are handy. The last half of the hike is fairly steep but the view is worth the effort.

The cache is a Decon container that holds a log, pencil and a few small trading items.

Happy Trails!

Congrats to Polaski on the FTF!

Last cache of the year and it's a DNF! Argh! But we were definitely at the same spot as the pics. Searched the entire area, especially the hint. Came up empty. But a great hike, great way to end the year with the hubs, and the dogs!

Searched around the small pine for an hour. It is missing. The pic is from the bottom looking towards the cache.

What a view! And a steep hike, wow. In the heat of the day I almost gave up but my brother pushed me on. Dogs loved getting out for an adventure! tBracelet Lbracelet sl

You weren't kidding about the steep climb! Holy hog, I was sweating like one by the time I got there! But the view! Magnificent! Thanks for a great cache! Took some sort of crystal stone that my daughter will be thrilled to have. Left a beaded bracelet......!

Oh Man really wanted to get to this one, but was not prepared for that hike! I got about 50' away and could not climb anymore! For others looking make sure to bring water and prepare for uphill! Great view though!

This is my first cache find as Decoyent007. I used to be part of the 3cacheteers but I decided to have my own glory. Took a while to get up to the hiding spot, wore my dog out for once (and my Mom too!) I also hid my own first geocache today, right after I got off the hill from finding Hogwild. TNLNSL

Which one is Decoyent007?

I looked around and said, now where would DARR go today? Yep, sure enough. Of course, I always have to go my own way to get there and like the saying goes, if there's a trail to the cache, you will find it on the way out. Another loop hike. I am targeting caches with a terrain level of not less than 3 and I'm getting what I paid for here. The views of the many farms from here are so bucolic and I sit in the shade catching up on my logs and admiring what you can't see from the highway. I hope the trip down is a little easier than how I got here! TFTC. Took McCain/Palin coin, left garnet encrusted stone from my rockhounding days.

Great hike. Thanks for the fun little family outing. Plenty warm this morning. Summer has definitely arrived.
