This is a new series named after U.S. Presidents. I decided to name them after presidents since I hid them on Presidents Day. They are all similar hides, and you can park right by most of the caches. Bring your own pen and possibly tweezers, and have fun!

Please let me know if this cache needs any maintaining, such as the log needing replacing, if the cache container is in bad condition, or if you can't find this cache. Hope you find it, and happy caching!

James Polk was born in 1795 in North Carolina, and went on to become the 11th and youngest (at the time) president of the United States (1845–1849). Polk’s annexation of Texas led to the Mexican-American War (1846–1848), and the U.S. victory thereby led to the acquisition of large territories in the Southwest and along the Pacific coast, which in turn led to the establishment of the Department of the Interior. The northern border of the United States was also established under Polk, as were the Naval Academy and the Smithsonian. He died on June 15, 1849, in Nashville, Tennessee. More information can be found on: http://www.biography.com/people/james-polk-9443616

Today I drove up north to grab geocaches around the Longmont area. I made my way up I-25 and then went west. Overall it was a great day. I saw several golden eagles, a Merlin, and even took a selfie with horses (I'm scared of anything bigger than a boxer). Unfortunately, there were several DNF's while west of Longmont. But this wasn't one of them :)
Clever container. But the log is suffering a little bit. TFTC!
