Steps were updated 5/7/2019. Happy caching!

STEP ONE:

Located at the given coordinates, you will find a decorated arch with a red and blue “D.U. & P” item among the statues. What is that item? Now enter the children’s department and locate the electric, model version of this item.

STEP TWO:

Inspect the model. NINE animals have escaped from the ZOO! (Don't be misled by other extinct distractors). What type of animal is it? Now find that animal’s entry in the 2016 World Book encyclopedia (in the same department).

STEP THREE:

Use the specific 2019 World Book encyclopedia volume that you found in Step Two to fill in the blanks below.

A = pg.662 line 2 word 6

B = pg.186 line 10 word 9

C = pg.594 line 6 word 6

D = pg.412 line 6 word 7 (drop the s)

E = pg.678 line 3 word 10

F = pg.570 line 15 word 2 (drop the s)

G = pg.484 line 62 word 10 (drop the s)

From the World Book shelf, go A to the B.

From the B, go east to the C D.

From the C D, go E to the clock F.

From the clock F, go east to the G.

Here you’ll find the geocache behind a little door.

I just moved here from Arizona, and what better way to get acquainted with a new city than geocaching?? This was quite fun and what a cool little hiding spot for the final!

This was very fun! I would recommend it. You do not need the 2016 world book the 2019 world book works perfectly!

Hi everyone! The clues have now been updated for the 2019 World Book. Happy hunting!

Definitely takes some time to solve the riddles, but very rewarding if you can get through it! We only found World Book Encyclopedias for 2018 and 2019, as mentioned in a previous post, so letter B will not work. But as long as you stay in the children’s department, you can follow the other clues to figure it out! Thanks! What fun.
