I was out caching and got my car stuck here in the process! Call me stupid for bringing a 2-door Hyundai out here, but roads weren't too bad until it was too late to turn around!

While waiting for breddawg to come pull me out, I decided to place this cache to kill some time. DO NOT attempt without 4 wheel drive and high clearance or you too will be placing caches while waiting for a rescue!

I am now rescued and ran into a few muggles on the way out, they were surprised my car got as far as it did and have even seen Subaru bumpers out here, so just another warning: Go with 4WD and High Clearance (reason for high Terrain rating). Check out the pictures to see the road and my stuck car.

***Congrats to Flic for the FTF***

All dry today. Quick find with my forester no problem. The lid is cracked and the camo tape is coming off. Thanks for bringing us to this fun area!

This was one of my targeted caches while in Colorado. Yes, there was mud but my Jeep handled it fine. My dog had a good run while I signed the log! TFTC!

I headed down south of Castle Rock to get a few caches, particularly a D/T combo I needed.

This was the D/T I needed. I can see how this can turn into a mud bog. There were some mud crossings, but most of the road had dried out enough so I could ride on the top of the mud ridges. My only mistake was leaving the walking stick in the car, so it was a bit of a ginger climb up and back down that bank.

As I was leaving the way I came in, from the East, I met a Mazda 3 heading towards the rough part. I rolled my window down and warned the guy he might not want to go that way.

Signed the log KAJW. Took nothing. Left nothing. Thanks for the cache!

I thought I'd grab a few caches before it started raining again. I have a high clearance 4 X and enjoyed putting my wheels exactly where I wanted them. There were plenty of pools of water from all the rain lately which just made guessing the depth of the puddles another dimension to the drive. Making it as far as you did in the Hyundai shows real driving skill! Found the cache quickly and signed the old log. Didn't have the TOTT to pick out the newer log. The cache lid is cracked, but it doesn't appear that water is getting in so the logs are in fine shape. A truck went by me the other direction while I was near the GZ. Made me curious how far back this little detour goes. Instead of finding out, I opted to head back home just as the rain started back up. TNLNSL. Thanks animjason for placing this cache so that we can play!

I took a gamble today believing that it would be cold enough that the ruts and mud would be frozen. It's 24 degrees tonight, and I was right. Easy to get to the cache. Thank you for placing this one Jason!
