Took the shortest and most direct route from the top, not too bad. Managed to stay uninjured even though I tripped, stumbled, and generally banged my way down these rocks. Very large cache that was almost empty. Left a lizard and a paracord bracelet. This would be a neat place if the water was running in that gulch below. TFTC.

WOW! NICE CACHE & SWAG! SWAG is pretty much the same as day it was set, (see photos from 8-23-09) and batteries in LED flashlight still work (from 7-11 log) They are AAA Duracell with expiration date of 2015 so I knew they were old as current Duracell (only thing I use) have expiration dates of 2024. Cache was clean and dry, log in excellent shape, as was all swag. We were tempted to take the torch but have several LED MAGlights that carry on belt at all times so really did not have need, left for next finder. The trek in was easy from the nearby road, only o.3 miles, certainly not the 1-3 miles posted. Couple of mesa rims/ledges to clamber over but the 60 yr. old Ms. handled them without help, 40 minutes in and out with a very easy find. Set several of our IACG series caches on way out. We travelled out of Delta on 348 to Escalante Rim Road and then used our Garmin etrex to hike toward the coordinates. It was our first hike with our new shelter-rescued Border Collie and he loved it. (So did we, as he was great at finding the cool shady spots to cool off and think about our next heading.) This was our first find, so we were pretty excited! Didn't take anything but pictures and a fun memory. Left a small flashlight. Lynn, Gwen and Eli Conrad
