Cache is located just off Colorado Hwy 9 in between Mile Marker 20 & 21. It is just off the end of 31 Mile Mt. Rd. The road is a 4x4 two track and fairly rough or it can be hiked on foot. It is about 1000 ft. elevation gain from Hwy 9 to the cache site and about a 2.3 mile trip round trip. There can be snow in winter, but it should be passable. Use your own judgment. This cache is my first one placed and is dedicated to Silvrhawk and Mtman who introduced me to Geocaching. Turn off Hwy 9 through a wire gate. Please close gate, as there are cattle in this pasture. Cross the creek and continue on up the dirt two track 1 mile to the end. There will be a fence. Park there and continue on foot. Elevation at the cache site is 9185. There are great views looking to the south toward Canon City and the Sange De Cristo mountains. Some of the original contents of the cache were heat paks, emergency blanket, playing cards, cowboy Bible, coin purse with a suprise in it, marshall's badge, watch, 2 cd's, talking book, a Two dollar bill, and for the first to find, a shiney real .999 pure silver eagle coin. I placed this cache with a quad in February, and had no trouble getting to it. If there is a big snow, you may not be able to drive it; but you can still hike or use a horse, which we have done many times. Have fun and enjoy this cache. Also, you will pass right by 31 Mile Mountain Cache as well. If you have any suggestions on how to make it better, e-mail me as this is my first. I am sure I missed something. "Two dollar Bill"

08/02/2014 By chewbug Beautiful view. There was a lot of climbing. My husband had to do most of it. I just couldn't breathe that high. Left a happy meal car, took nothing and signed the log. We took a walk down the road a ways. Thanks.
11/24/2012 By Munkeygirl13 Wow what a drive up the road. My first time going off roading as well. I was a little nervous but once we got to the top I was good. We made the short hike to the cache and found it with no problems. We took some photos and enjoyed the views.
11/24/2012 By jammarie The road to this cache was my first time going off road. It wasn't really all that bad. Made it to the top and the view was awsome. I am glad that the hubby brought us up here. Found the cache with no problems at all great placement on the cache. We enjoyed the views for awhile before putting the cache back. Thanks 2 dollar Bill
11/24/2012 By mr.volkswagen #958 I finally made it to this cache. This one has been on my to do list for a long time. The only reason it took me so long to grab this cache was I didn't have a high clearence vehicle to come up. and I was not about to walk up from the bottom. It's been a good 15 years since I've been up here. Youed to come up here all the time when i lived in Guffey. Brought my lovely wife and daughter up to see the awsome views and awsome they were. Cache was in excellent condition. Thanks for an awsome cache 2 dollar Bill. May you R.I.P. will put photos up soon.
08/07/2012 By 9-rushman&farmgirl79 Out with Farm Girl and Olive to grab a few caches on a beautiful day. Knew the cache was going to be on top of the hill but we drove as close as we could. Just a short hike up the last part to make the find. Cache is in good shape and well hidden. SL TFTC
07/09/2011 By youkfish Holy Cow! I can't believe I'm the first to find in almost 2 years! The road is open and I got to the saddle and hiked the remaining 200 ft (no road to the cache). I'm glad I made the effort this morning to get Delorme page 61 with this cache. Very nice views and it would be a nice hike up the hill too. I took the GCCA coin. Thanks for putting this one out there!
06/06/2011 By CoJeepinMQM don't want to log this as a dnf as i never really went up to look for it but wanted to let everyone else know that the road is block due to a down tree so if you are going after this one it will be walking until the debris is cleared. I didn't have time to walk it but will next time I am in the area
