Hello, This geocache location is near and dear to our hearts. We are a troop of 4th grade girls in GirlScout troop 65750. We decided to make a geocache about Bees. Bees are really important and we learned some interesting facts about bees that we would like to share. Did you know that bees can fly about 20 mph and fly up to 6miles a day? Also bees have 5 eyes and if they lose their stinger they will die. Also a single bee can produce about 1 teaspoon of honey in their lifetime. Female bees are the worker bees and male bees are called drones. A queen bee lives for about 2-3 years and can lay up to 2000 eggs a day. Bees are great pollinators and enviromentally friendly and most plants rely on pollination to grow. Our parks have beautiful flowers thanks to the busy, hard working bees.

Thought the snow might create a problem, but everything turned out OK. Thanks, Scouts, for the interesting information about the bees. TFTC.
