Karok

Indigenous people of California, their name means "Upstream," defining them in relation to the Yurok, who lived "downstream" on the Klamath River from them. The Karok's name for themselves is simply "'Araar," meaning "human being." Traditionally, the Karok lived along the Klamath River in Humboldt and Siskiyou Counties in northwestern California, and on the tributary Salmon River. The Karok had little contact with white settlers until gold miners arrived in 1850 and 1851, resulting in widespread disease, violence, social dislocation, and cultural breakdown. Today, some 4,000 people identify themselves as having a Karok heritage. Though the Karok have no reservation, their tribal headquarters are in Happy Camp, California.

Today after work we headed up to the Broomfield area to grab a few caches. Our group consisted of @windatmyback and @intrepiidexplorer . By the end of the day we had 15 caches in our bag and one DNF. Great day to cache in Colorado!
Luckily WAMB's eagle eye spotted this one. TFTC!

No joy on this one, spent a few moments searching. Lots of mud around.

Should not have been that hard, but no luck. Gone? But I did take some rusty old RR spikes for paperweights.

Favorite. Out caching solo again today. Last night was my turn to watch BAa, she slept like a baby from 11:30 to 2:30am, WOW. Caching during the day and baby sitting at night. Thanks to all of the CO's for placing these caches.

Caching our way to the NoCo monthly dinner. Turned out to be a very hot day with our car temp maxing out at 100 !! Finally a little after 3 some cloud cover moved in and it became a bit more bearable. The temp definitely slowed us down a bit but we kept at it and had a good day. A few DNFs but also redeemed a few of our previous DNFs.

Amongst the warning chirps of the residents I was able to find this cache.
