I dedicate this cache to my young son, who will be two in February 2015.  He now follows dirt paths off of main ones and checks behind rabbit brush.  A true adventurous geocacher in the making.

This cache is located just off the Marcy Gulch Trail.  The trail is open from 5a to 11p.  Please be respectful of the neighbors.  At different times of the year the cache location may be wet, so wear your boots.  If you approach the trail from the south, you can follow it east and reach Foothills Park where there is a dog park and a playground.  Bring your swag!

Today @WindAtMyBack took our adventure to Highlands Ranch. The freezing rain and icy snowy weather are fitting for the aftermath of the recent tragic events. Sadly, this cache has been looted again. I found the contents spread around a small area. The logs were soaked. I stamped our name on one of them and then reassembled it the best I could. I shoved the container back under the thick brush and put a bunch of leaves over it to disguise it. I hope it works. TFTC!

The local school kids seem to "like" this cache. The bad news first: the cache was open, contents were strewn, and the log book had been partially set on fire. The good news: the previous cache container had been found and was sitting next to it! So. I gathered everything up and put it back in the cache, added extra swag, and put in a replacement log. Good to go again.
