This is a gadget cache. The puzzle must be solved in order to sign the log.

How many of us as kids tried and tried to solve a 3x3 Rubik's Cube? Who resorted to taking off the stickers and replacing them?

Well, in order to sign this cache log, that is exactly what you must do - solve a 3x3 Rubik's Cube.

This special cube will open up at the top and revel the log once the cube is solved. The yellow side is the top and you need to pull it off.

BEWARE OF FALLING PIECES. Once the cube is solved, be very, very cautious taking the top layer off, as it can easily fall apart. It does reassemble easily. However, if this happens and you are unable to get it back together correctly, please put the pieces back in the bird house and message me. We live nearby and will come and fix it.

In order to log this cache, you must solve the cube and sign the log. Just finding the cube does not count. For fun, let's see a photo of you with the solved cube. Bonus points for awesome photos!

The cube is safely hidden in a birdhouse. The combination to the lock is 20-26-00. Please re-scramble the cube and place it back in the birdhouse when you are finished. Please re-lock the bird house before you leave so that the cube does not get stolen.

Please park at the business parking lot on the south side of Hess and walk to the cache.

Went on some errands with "animjason" and "BearAdair" and a special mystery guest - we found this geocache along the way . . . along with several hundred ants and their eggs - they did not seem to be real happy with getting evicted from the bird house and puzzle cube, but we suspect that they will be back soon enough. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Ants, and ant eggs have taken residence in force.

I got really excited when I heard about this cache. I haven't found many gadget caches but love them every time I do. My son is much more of the Rubik's cube expert, but I had a secret weapon with me. ;) Anyway, I had a lot of fun extracting this and although it did fall apart a little after I extracted the container, I was able to get everything back together and in good shape. I discovered one of the TBs and took the others. I targeted highly favorited caches and although this doesn't have many favorites yet, it certainly will in time!

Thanks for the hide AlexJGriff and prerules. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

When I saw this come out I thought “Oh No, I’ve NEVER been able to solve a Rubik’s Cube and this one is classified as a regular cache within my 10 miles of home radius instead of a field puzzle (which I actually need more of). So I watched the referenced video, thought about it some, then got a hint from another puzzler. I waited for a nice afternoon to check it out because I was sure I would be here for a while. Today, 1st day of spring, was perfect. This is a very peaceful place even considering the nearby really busy roads (but probably not when the construction site is working). The ground was warm & dry enough to sit down & go to work.
I actually got it solved after 2 tries, it opened as instructed & the log was mine. I’m only the 2nd signature after FTF so I’m pretty proud. Surprised no one else has come out to tackle this. TFTC!

So, my brother is the cuber in the family. Needless to say, I needed him on this one. TFTC.

As a beta-tester for the cube, I thought it was finally time to come and log this one myself. TFTC.

CO- {FTF} with MagicCacher, Animjason and crew.... so here it is. We found about this awesome gadget cache early in the day. Was not sure that we could even get over here to make the find. Fortunately for us we needed to go to AFW. MagicCacher was with me and he is the Rubik’s Master.

So after we made our stop, off to the cache we go. Upon arrival to an area I had scoped our on the map of where to park, we see another car?? Who could this be but non other than Animjason and crew. He looked to be stumped with the cube. Let’s bring in the big guns!! Within a matter of less than a minute we had the log in hand and we all signed and cheered with FTF joy!! After we did some photos especially some of the baby too. We head bag to the home for the cube. Along the way we dropped the cube and the cube was in a 1000 pieces!! HAHAHAHA JUST KIDDING!! This cache earned its favorite point and wish I could give more.

Some may say we are crazy, but this game/hobby is one of the greatest gifts. Who doesn’t love a great scavenger hunt. Hiking, biking or driving hundreds of miles to sign our name on a piece of paper. This brings us a lifetime of joy, and new friends from all around the world.

Thanks for placing this cache and keeping our recreation going. SL/with PoshCacher/MagicCacher.Tftc

I go wherever animjason and Sissadies drag me haha. But this cache was great. I'm "holding" it in a photo in animjason's log.

Thanks for the fun!

I got home from work, and animjason had BearAdair loaded up and said "There is a new cache calling us!"

We had one of our scouts ready to video chat if we got stumped, and fortunately Magic showed up with his Rubic magic.

Great cache, and fun co-FTF with friends.

Great geocache, and great company. I had planned on trying this one tomorrow, but plans ended up being further north. So once Sissadies got off work, we headed over tonight with BearAdair.

One of my scouts can solve these super fast, and right before I was going to go pick him up T5M and crew showed up, and did a quick solve. Saved me a trip, and was fun to watch. The tutorial video is great, and I'll use it to solve one at home for more practice.

Picked up one trackable, and discovered the other. Gets a favorite point. Adding two photos as additional proof. CO-[FTF] with family and friends.
