The Lockbox is an on-site puzzle. The challenge is to open The Lockbox and sign the log.

NO TOOLS ARE REQUIRED!

Do not pry, bend, gouge or otherwise try to force it open. It really is very simple.

To avoid the steep embankment near the cache step over the fence at N 40° 8.048' W 105° 7.934' and follow the river West until you are near the cache. The terrain will be 2.0 - 2.5

If you choose to go directly to the cache the steep embankment is a 3.5 terrain.

This one was brought to my attention due to its favorite points. Once at almost GZ, we examined a few options to get closer, but the direct descent was the only one we could come up with. That's ok, it wasn't too difficult at all. Upon finding the cache, had to go back to review the cache information. Seems I was missing something here! Tried a few ideas that didn't work out, but in the end finally got it done. I can see why this one has received so many favorites and will get another one from me. Well, put together and fun all around! Thanks for something different and creative! It was a pleasure to sign this log for sure. Everything with the cache and log is in great shape. TFTC!

Went to watch a movie with friends in Longmont. Decided to stop and do a few caches with Dud&Plato while we were down here. Thanks for the fun puzzle. Took me a bit of examining the box to figure it out, but I got it in the end and was able to sign the log.

I definitely had to go down the embankment, and made a quick find once I did. But I couldn’t get past the lock. I thought I had the right idea, but nothing worked. Maybe next time

I think the terrain should be Increased due to the embankment hide and replacement of cache!

Caching in the Longmont area with DaWife on a great Colorado afternoon, finding caches to get points for the Planetary Pursuit. We were looking for a spot to do a little walking and caching and this trail was the perfect place. This cache was on our list of to do's and when arriving at the cache slipping and sliding the whole way (glad that it wasn't muddy) reached in and retrieved the box. All's that left now is to get it open. I spotted some numbers and tried various combinations before the obvious hit me, duh. Now to get back up da hill, TFTC.
